Barbara's Note: Most readers enjoy this story, especially if they've seen Disney's movie. However, lengthy descriptions slow down the action and make for arduous reading. Mature students may challenge it as unrealistic. Caution: We've had problems with some versions not following the same chapters. Our novel study is based on the paperback books put out by Bantam Doubleday Dell. (Grades 8, 9)
