American Literature: Short Stories

This module covers 22 American short story writers and teaches students how to effectively read short stories.  Three lesson plans are included for these levels: Advanced placement, regular high school, and overview.  Plan seven to ten weeks for completion.  Like the poetry module, this study requires no additional text to purchase, however outside resources are necessary.  Internet access is recommended and utilizing the library will be essential.   We recommend reading How to Read Slowly by James W. Sire.
